PES Progressive Convention in Brussels

PES Convention is a unique open space bringing together progressive politicians, trade-unions, NGOs, associations, academics and artists ; a wide 2-day brainstorming, with simultaneous and innovative debates, workshops, panels and activities run in a decentralized manner, but also inspirations drawn from the cultural and academic spheres thanks to a series of cultural side-events (bookshop, literary cafés, concerts, film screenings and debates, photo competition, etc.). The goal is to formulate new alternative proposals and to define new progressive policies aiming at building fair and sustainable societies in the 21st century.

For this event, Dentsu Brussels has been asked to create, adapt and produce different materials including a Convention Guide of 60 pages, backdrops, conference pads, badges, pin's, animation, external and internal signages.

A Transylvanian summer in Brussels

Dentsu Brussels continues it's support of young creatives through the placement of Luana Suciu as Design intern for the summer months. Luana was born and raised in Transylvania, Romania, adding a new nationality to the multicultural mix of the agency. She received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing Communication from Emerson College in Boston, MA.

Passionate about creativity, photography and art direction she participated in two National Student Advertising Competitions sponsored by the American Advertising Federation, developing integrated campaigns for Coca Cola Classic and AOL. While in Boston she served as a photographer for WERS 88.9 FM, rated No.1 college radio station in US, where she had the opportunity to photograph musicians both in live performances and studio interviews. Soon after graduating she moved to New York, working as part of the creative team at Syrup NYC on brands like Bottega Veneta, Puma, Harajuku Lovers and Calvin Klein. Her interests are in developing her web-based experiences and online interfaces, combined with photo shoot experience and print design.

Dentsu Brussels staff take some time out at the start of the day to celebrate a fantastic milestone in the agency's history. Also launched today is Dentsu's new website, DentsuNetwork.com, which was designed and created by Firstborn to explain the network's vision of being the most future obsessed agency network.

Bavaria launches new bottle on Planet Earth

Dentsu Brussels was asked to create a TVC campaign for Eastern Europe to launch Bavaria's new Premium Beer bottle design. The brief was to show a complete 360° view of the new unique bottle shape, to a large market who were used to the old bottle design. As the bottle was still in development, CGi animation was used to create the TVC, with multiple animations of the bottle being created to define the different faces. Soundtrack was courtesy of Duran Duran, and three months later the first TVC was ready. Click here to view the TVC.

Dentsu Brussels supports Lexus CT 200h

Dentsu Brussels has recently supported the pan-European launch of the Lexus CT 200h, the world's first full hybrid luxury compact car by producing the new model's brochure in 32 different languages. Dentsu Brussels created the design and managed the photoshoot, production and print for this Pan European brochure. Dentsu Brussels has also recently redesigned the latest Lexus Range & Hybrid brochure.

Bavaria faces East

From the Planet Earth TV campaign Dentsu Brussels developed a series of billboards for use across Eastern Europe to promote the launch of the new Premium Beer bottle design. The creation of billboards from a TVC required complex post-production to create the right level of quality for the new brand positioning. Various screens were tested from the TVC to define the new brand message. Finally variations of the billboard were created for use across different regions in multiple languages.

Future of brochures

The internet-enabled brochure combines the immediacy of the internet with the luxury and permanence of paper to increase conversion to purchase.
 
Consumers still enjoy the printed word and picture and the permanence it offers. But for the last decade, brochures have been overshadowed by the interactive and multimedia promise of the internet – and more recently, social media. The result has been increasing pressure to reduce the cost of brochures. We think this is missing an opportunity.

In a recent project we reviewed how brochures will evolve to become the gateway to conversion for marketing communications. They will do this by combining print and digital in one, easy to manage experience that guides the customer to the point of sale and beyond. At the same time, they reveal to the marketing team exactly what is interesting and what is converting prospects to buyers.

E-volve update

The InDesign server of our E-volve system (Online Editing Tool) has been successfully upgraded to CS5. The E-volve interface has also been improved.
It allows us to use all the features of Adobe Creative Suite 5 !

Refreshing changes
